Before you start

If the main concern for this referral is regarding the child’s safety, make sure that you've informed the child’s main carer of their responsibility to carry out safety measures for their child.

Before making this request:

refer the child's main carer to the information in the Safety Booklet
check they've put all the appropriate recommendations in place

Safety assessments are often connected with inappropriate housing and waiting lists for rehousing. Our assessment does not have any influence over priority decisions made by HomeChoice.
